A summary on various points being raised on interviews about WLHS.

1) WLHS is driven by more than 30 volunteers focused on the issue.  With a broader group of 1400+ active engaged supporters on our news letter, petitions, etc.

2) WLHS was supported by about 100 donors.  Every one from Harbor Springs or area townships.  No external money.

3) All the donors are listed in public databases following the donor laws.  Not an easy process to traverse.  We do not work to make it easy because some have used these lists to attack people individually.  We have no desire to make that easier.

4) We know of no “Dark Money” or corporate interests involved in WLHS.

5) MEDC (Michigan Economic Development Corporation) has a much longer and larger list of private donors.  The state has a specific stated objective to drive development in this region.

6) WLHS goal is to empower voters, property owners, the tribe, and area townships with transparency over development in the region.

7) We do not control how people vote.  We do not control what they do if they join boards or commissions.

8) WLHS will assist as we can people that want more transparency, or wish to place items on a ballot.

9) WLHS will assist government in its effort to use best practices to increase transparency
